We will start each morning with observational drawings with local Seattle Artist Casey Ailes. We will study the topic of the day and venture outside to draw and paint. We will journey to the Seattle Aquarium on Wednesday and walk to the waterfront daily to sketch the animals and the scenes around us. During the week, we will explore pastels, watercolors and acrylics. We will learn to draw freestyle and step-by-step. Using paints daily we will mix colors, work on style and technique. By the end of the week we will have created a beautiful piece of art on a real artist canvas to bring home. We will also visit Casey’s studio and see how an Artist works in her space.
